ProX5 Trimmed audio wav drags to timeline as full clip

Post by cdoughertycd »

Hi:

I trimmed a wav audio file with the little yellow markers in the clip by placing the markers where I want them and using the scissors, then saved it, but when I drag it down to the timeline it comes down as the original long file.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks for your help,
Candy

When you say "then saved it" - how did you do that ? - - all you need to do after trimming the clip is to drag it up into the library pane and that's it - VS will create a thumbnail there for the trimmed clip.

If the sound clip was in the library when you started this may mean that you have two thumbnails for the same clip - one will be for the full clip and the other for the trimmed clip
