Nice catch.

On my system, I've always had "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" selected, and I've got the full Aero niceness at all times.

Normally I can do that too, and seeing as how PSP X4 and X5 previously worked with my typical desktop settings, I don't know why the program changed so it needs those settings changed. Perhaps any PSP techs who look at these boards will have an idea of how to fix that. For now, I've changed the programs properties to run with desktop composition disabled since it doesn't require me to have to keep changing the system properties each time I use the program.

Good luck getting them to fix this. I reported it right after X4 came out. And even now with SP3 it's still broken. It's the main reason I will not buy X5, why risk spending more money on products with so many issues and so little support.

I was disappointed that after the recent update that this still is a problem for me. I know that some people can run the program fine on their Win 7 system with the same amount of RAM and all the Microsoft updates which I have, so I wish there was a way to narrow down the reason why mine can't. Perhaps using a laptop with integrated graphics runs the program differently than a desktop with graphic drivers, it's just a mystery because it once worked and then it didn't. Other problems occurred with the program and once they were corrected, the blank preview problem occurred. As long as the edit screen works, or setting the program to run without desktop composition, the program is still useable. I'd, of course, prefer the program to run perfectly since that's what I paid for and I do think that Corel has dropped the ball with PSP in favor of the more expensive CorelDraw. I doubt that I'll be upgrading this version to any new version of PSP.
