I cannot get any of the proDad products to be visible in any of the menus of VS X5 Ultimate. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled. in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\vft_plug I have the following files for proDAD: proDADMercalli20Corel4.vft, proDADRoute40Corel4.vft, proDADVitascene20Corel4.vft. I have no proDad files in the Vfx_plug folder. But I don't know if I should. proDAD itself installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\proDAD. There are three sub folders in that: HeroglyphRoute-4.0, Mercalli-2.0, Vitascene-2.0. I have successfully installed Boris Graffiti and New Blue Titler EX. I don't know why the proDad products do not show up. Corel support has not been able to help me.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Re: proDAD Not Visible in VS Pro X5 Ultimate
All of the Pro-dad plug-ins are accessed via the FX panel within VideoStudio - see the image below - dragging one of those onto a video clip and opening the options panel will give you access to all of the parts of the plug-in.
The Pro-Dad filters are not installed within the VideoStudio folders but as you have found out have their own folders under program files.
If you cannot see those icons in the FX panel try -re-installing the Pro-Dad items.
coincidently when I opened my copy of VS this morning I had a message telling me there was an update for the pro-dad plug-ins available - you might like to have a look in the 'Corel guide' messages and see if you have an upgrade - it might help solve your problem

Attached is a screen shot of all of my FX. The three in question are not there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled again this morning. No luck.

Re: proDAD Not Visible in VS Pro X5 Ultimate
I finally got all my NewBlue and proDAD FX to be visible. It was essentially an effort of brute force. I uninstalled VS X5, Boris, proDAD, NewBlue then deleted all files anywhere on my PC having to do with these programs. I restarted my PC, ran CCleaner registry cleaner to remove any lingering traces, rebooted again. I then re-installed VS X5, ran the SP 1, then re-installed all the bonus applications. This time they all were present. I should not have had to do this, but hey I got them all working.
Hopefully, in the future, I can be a contributor to this forum when I learn more.

Re: proDAD Not Visible in VS Pro X5 Ultimate
I got my ProDAD's FX plug-in's to reveal themselves a different way. It took lots of experimenting and hunting for them (since Corel developers didn't design the X5 PRO Ultimate installation program correctly). That may have been done for legal reasons to separate themselves (Corel products) from 3rd-party plug-in's so they wouldn't have to support their inclusion. But, I'm just guessing at that. It wouldn't have made a difference anyway since they don't even support their current products! The support on this forum is very good, although it's being handled by volunteers, and they can't even get support directly from Corel developers who appear to be hiding somewhere.
After clicking on the (menu item) "FX", I finally tried clicking the little white drop-down arrow next to the round, orange button. (Reference your screenshot). At the bottom of that list was "ProDAD"! But, at least I finally found it. I haven't gone to all the trouble you've had to go through, and I probably won't since I now know how to find the optional FX plug-in's. Besides, I can't get ProDAD (RotoPen) to work the way I want it to, so I rarely try now. It's junk in my opinion. As far as the other two plug-in's which came with the Ultimate version, I find them extremely confusing, and non-intuitive. So, I don't use them either. Maybe someday I'll spend more time with them?
I'm glad you got yours working the way you want it to.

Re: proDAD Not Visible in VS Pro X5 Ultimate
I had to go through the extreme method, as none of the plug-ins were available no matter what I clicked on. I could see that they should be there as I looked in the vft and vfx folders. I could also see the xml files that contained references to the plug-ins, new and old. Yet VS would only display the older plug-ins. So it was a very frustrating time. I'm glad you could solve your issue much more easily than I could mine. No one needs to waste that much time.
