Corel Support and Movie Factory 7: mp4s
I have posted here and I have contacted Corel support about the inabilty of Movie Factory 7 to import mp4 files. We told the support team we needed to know if somehow mp4s could be imported and that if so we would buy the product after our trial period. We have enjoyed other video software by Ulead for years and we have respect for what we know about Corel. We received an email from Corel Customer Support which stated, "I would like to help you with this matter, kindly be advised that Corel can only provide free one-time installation support to all trial and academic version users." We were told we will be provided support after we buy the product. Consequently we will not be purchasing through Corel because we have hundreds of mp4 files that we do not have the time to convert. Our customers are depending on us to make DVDs for them and if MovieFactory cannot support mp4 files the product is useless to us.

Re: Corel Support and Movie Factory 7: mp4s
at the moment it appears that Corel are selling MovieFactory 7 and VideoStudio X5 at exactly the same price.
VideoStudio will import and edit mp4 videos and do much more than Moviefactory can.
Why not download a trial of VideoStudio and try it out for yourself - another bonus - there are far more users of VideoStudio than there are of MovieFactory so you have a much better chance of getting all the help you need.

AFAIK, Movie Factory 7 supports MP4, can you tell us what exactly happens when you import MP4? Also have you installed all the updates for DVD movie factory 7? - http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... pid=400012

Do you have Quicktime on your PC Weemus - that is required for the playing of mp4 files in Corel products.
