Am I missing a toolbar???? X-4 Question

Post by AlCatt »

I'm desperately trying to get used to X4 coming from PP 12. I'm trying to use the Magic Wand tool from the toolbox to mask an area. I can activate the tool but there is absolutely no settings for the tool such as "Tolerance", or "Brush Shape"....etc. I cannot find a toolbar, preset menu, or any other tool adjustment option. So when I click on the image it simply puts a mask marquee around the whole .jpg picture. I've spent too many minutes looking for this and there is nothing in the help section.
Would someone be so kind as to let me know how to adjust this? Thanks in advance. AlCatt

Thanks! Stupid forgot to try all of the "F" keys one by one. The F4 key brought it up instantly.
Thanks for the cure and time.

Hi Again, one additional question though....how do I put the 'floating' menu neatly in to the top bar with the rest of the tools. Must it always float on the workspace?

Go to Preferences > General Program Preferences > Palettes and then check to allow docking of the Tool Options palette. You should be able to double-click its title bar and it will dock itself at the top. If not, drag it up there and it should "stick".
Using Paint Shop Pro versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 16
