yes, I tried saving the video under the different types of video the software offered. It shutdown almost instantly upon saving. i tried saving to a different location... the one thing that did work was copying a DVD but saving edited video simply will not work...

I have given up on X3. X5 arrived yesterday, installed and I have made the edits and saved them. The difference I have noticed now is that it takes longer to save the mpeg segment than it did on X3. When i converted them to AVI, the 2.03 GB did not drop at all.... unlike the first time... but that isn't VS's problem.
