No Audio in Project Playback

No Audio in Project Playback
I have searched the web for days and I cannot find an answer. I am not new to this software and have made many videos. The problem is that I got a new computer with Windows 8 and installed X4 VideoStudio. I can hear the sound file when I select the clip but as soon as I select Project, there is no sound. I have found many other posts to this problem and have not found any advice. I am currently uninstalling the program and trying to reinstall to see if that helps.

un/reinstalled the software and still have the same problem.
