Do these NewBlue FX Plugins work in VS5? Cartoonr..

Do these NewBlue FX Plugins work in C VS5?

I was trying to install the free Cartoonr plugin but I do not see it after install.
Perhaps it's in the wrong folder, or the plugin is not compatible with VS5?

Also was considering purchasing the following.
Are they compatible with VS5?

Video Essentials IV
Video Essentials VI

Hi myblackf150

Did you install to this folder:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X5\vft_plug

For Windows 7 54bit I think it will be in Program Files (86) or something like that.

The new file is called:-
NewBlueCartoonr.vft

The FX library should show a page for NewBlue Free Effects

But do you know if these are bundles are both compatible with VS5?
Video Essentials IV ( mentions Corel but not VS5)
Video Essentials VI ( Doesn't mention Corel at all )

I know for certain that Essential IV is definitely compatible with X5, as I have it (and I, II and III as well). I don't have VI, though regularly receive emails from NewBlue about V and VI, and had assumed they would be compatible with VS -- though to be honest I never looked. But since Corel is not mentioned, I would ask NewBlue before I bought it. They are quite responsive and helpful, I should add.

Shucks thanks guys.
Took a leap of faith and bought both.
IV works but VI didn't even show a prompt for Corel when installing.

I really needed that tile effect. Where I can have the screen in 3 or 4 vertical tiles.

At this time New Blue Video Essentials V1 is not compatible with X5 and according to New Blue support when I asked the question, they do not know when it will be. I have installed V1 in PRE11 and the effects are very good, hopefully an X5 version will be available soon
