Eliminating Unwanted Text Message....

Post by DayO »

When I went to add text to a video sequence in the Title feature, the words "Double-click Here to Add Text" appeared.

Which I did. The text I wanted appeared in the sequence and showed up OK after saving and replay--but so did that
"Double-Click Here to Add Text!"

I couldn't figure out how to delete THAT unwanted message--any hints on how to do that?

I'm not sure exactly what you are doing. When you do the first double click, that message disappears, right? You type the text and position the text box where you want it.

But if you accidentally (or intentionally) click in the text track, that message reappears -- see red arrow in image below. So don't click in the text track unless you want to insert another text box.

To get rid of that second message, just double click the screen again to get an empty text box (and the message disappears). Then left click the preview screen *outside* the text box and the text box itself will also disappear. Or is this not happening??

The message also stays on screen if you keep the title library pane open - after adding your title re-open the library pane with your videos and images in by clicking on the top icon in the strip to the right of the preview window.

Thanks, KB & BC -

That unwanted message finally disappeared of its own volition after yet another replay--Go figure!
