Help with titling

Post by Teongpeng »

Hi guys,

i just purchased VideoStudio Pro X5 and i've a question regarding how to modify titling.

See, i like the titling styles from the samples provided but my problem is...i dont know how to modify the duration of when the animated text enters and when it leaves.
I realise for some animation you can change the pause duration...but for the ones that i like, you cant. For exampole...the animation with the oval blue background and slanted text that 'drops in'? u know that one? :P

anyway any advice will be appreciated.

I am probably telling you things you already know. First the length of the background can be varied on the timeline. Second the length of the title including the lead in and fade out can be varied in relation to the background by the length of the title in the timeline and the title location under the background can be shifted.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi

Titles

The oval blue text sample uses two text boxes. (Multiple Titles)
First drag the thumbnail to the Title Track, if the Options Panel is closed, double click the clip. then select the Edit tab

The words “dolor sit amet” are one text box, double click the preview screen to select text, if you wish change the text.
Single click shows the text box trim handles, drag the pink corners to rotate.

Single click the “Lorem Ipsum” words or “blue oval” again you see the trim handles.
If you wish drag the lot to reposition on screen.
Now select the Attributes tab, notice the Animation and Apply are selected, with Drop as the type, and one of the presets selected.
Some Types will allow you to use a manual approach in setting the animation
Press the “TT’s” symbol for settings, View these settings using other types.

The blue oval, that is a Text Backdrop, select the Edit tab, Text Backdrop is selected, press the small icon to the right to customise Backdrop Attributes.

Change the overall duration, with the text selected in the timeline, either drag the clip yellow trim bars or change the digital clock, this will increase the clip duration effectively slowing down the animation.

Hope that helps
