Titles

Post by girly »

Hi

There is possibly a simple answer to this question but I can't figure it out as only just got V9 working
I wish to put a title before my video without it overlaying the film eg at the beginning of the film - I am sure I could do this with V8 but can't remember.

Thanks
Trevor Andrew

hi
Add a colour clip to the beginning of your video, use x fade transition between the colour clip and the first video clip.

Hi Girly

First you need to be in timeline view.
Select the Title Tab at the top or the T symbol to the left of the timeline.

Double click the screen, write your text.
Use the animation tab top left.

Clicking the timeline will insert the title to the ‘project position indicator’ ( the down arrow on the timeline rule)

To reposition.
Drag the title along the timeline using your mouse.

Hi
I have the full version of VS 9, and do not have access to the smart downloads.

I assume they will update the library with additional samples etc.

Without comparing systems I don’t know what extras you get or what I or you are short of.

I have 15 video samples
18 images
15 audio
15 colour
187 transitions ( I cannot imagine that I will use them all)
Ok I’ve started so I’ll finish
15 titles
30 objects
15 frames
18 flash

and presumably the smart download also includes the bonus selection of DVD menu templates.
