Hello,
I'm working with (an older) Videostudio version : Pro X2. This works perfectly, but when I have al lot of clips in the timeline, the library (with the thumbnails) doesn't indicate what clips I already inserted.
Is there a possibility to add a little checkmark on the thumbnail, so I don't insert the same clip twice?
Or from what version on (Pro X3 - X4 - X5) is this option included?
Thanks.

NO versions of VideoStudio include that function - the easiest way to do that is to use an individual library for each project - then as you use a clip delete the thumbnail from the library - this does NOT affect your original video in any way - it is still on your HDD available for use in any other projects.
or you can quickly and simply change the name under any thumbnail you have used - click once on the thubnail - then slowly a second click on the text under the thumbnail and edit the text - click anywhere out to save.
This is the explanation we received from one of the development team when this question was raised with them recently :-

The key problem is that VideoStudio library is not same as others. It is shared across projects, it can allow to have multiple thumbnail but all link to same source, it can allow users to drag the clip from Timeline back to library, it can also allow users to apply changes to library clips directly. All these make the ticking thing complicate. The goal is to make users know which clips have been used in the project, so we would keep this in mind and give a better solution as possible.
