Why, when you select a bunch of pictures and delete them, does it take so very long and lock up ASP so you can't do anything else with it?
Batch processing and other things both run in the background and are so so much faster (which would also involve modifying the DB), I don't get why deletes are so slow? Or is it just me?

probably because ASP has to clean the database (catalog).
