Hi folks,
Has anyone got any ideas about how to create a Randomised Slideshow ?
I've imported a folder of Images and Videos to the Timeline. They are all in a sequence based on Filenames.
Any simple way to reorder them randomly or do I need to do it manually ?
Thanks, Tony

Re: Randomise Slideshow order
I'm afraid your going to have to do it manually - there is no randomise function in VideoStudio - it's a bit difficult to see how you could do it in Windows even - that's going to want to sort on filename - or date created. Maybe file size might work as a random but they are probably all a very similar size.
Maybe someone knows a software programme that can mix them up before you import to VS ?

Hi
Use a rename program to random re-name the files.
Then Windows Explorer will also list randomly.

I use Bulk Re-Name, not that easy to use but once you get used to it it is very good, can rename any combination numbers/digits

Re: Randomise Slideshow order
Thanks folks
Lata your solution worked great. Took me a while to get head around Bulk Rename but eventually got it right.
Only catch was when I imported them to VideoStudio it sorted them as jpgs the mp4s. Then selected Sort by Filename and it mixed them together.
Thanks heaps,
Tony

Re: Randomise Slideshow order
There are many programs that can randomize filenames. Do a google search on "randomize filenames" and you will many hits.

Hi canuck
There is a lot of junk out on the internet, I am always wary of installing free stuff, besides them installing other software that you do not want.
Can you recommend any of these programs?
