Tutorial showing main and overlay track dissolves?

I just edited a bunch of short projects and it demanded a new skill: how to dissolve from the main video track to an overlay track and back. With two synchronized cameras, I could then dissolve between them. Like most other techniques, it's easy once you know how it's done.

Is there an existing tutorial that explains how to do dissolves from the main to overlay track? If not, is there any interest in me creating a tutorial that shows this technique? If there is some interest, I will create it.

We have had some requests in the past asking how to do just this - I do think a tutorial would be very useful.

I guess I have something to work on over the next few days! With the holidays (and two Thanksgiving dinners), it'll probably be 7-10 days before I can get to this.
