Hi,
As Phase One are not currently supporting the Pentax K-01 which I recently bought, I have returned to ASP for processing of my Pentax .DNG files. It does this very nicely thank you (and I do use ASP from time to time for my other cameras depending on the functionality I require).
I use IdImager as my DAM tool and it is very good for that. I recently returned from a holiday in Australia in which I took over 5000 .DNG files on the K-01 and started processing them in ASP. However I then realised I needed to do the organising of them in IDImager and completed that activity. On importing the files in to ASP it picked up the Keyword data from the IdImager generated standard .XMPs, but those files I had already processed in ASP did not pickup the keyword metadata despite the presence of the IdImager files. Research indicated that I needed to use the ASP "Merge External Data" tool from the Settings menu.
Great - and it works, but it only works on one file at a time.
I should have thought that by selecting multiple files and performing this action all of those files would pick up the metadata but it doesn't. Is this by design or is it a bug?
Regards
Neil
