Post by bauerdx5 »

Am having problems burning blu-ray files generated from VSX5. I get no errors but when I play the disc
the player says"unable to play disc" . On windows Media player it wont recognize the chapter list on the disc.
Any one have problems like this?

What exactly are you burning to disc - what files/folders ? - how do you do it -from clicking "Create Disc" to "Burn" what do you do? - Do you have a blu-ray player - what are you playing in Windows Media player - the disc or the folder from your HDD ?

I am burning the files/folders created when I burn to files/folders in VSX5. I cant burn directly to disc from VSX5 because I get "unexpected error 5.0.0" upon closing the disc.
In trying to get around that error, I choose burn to blu-ray folder and that completes without error. I also can burn to mpg file without error. I can burn the folder to disc using
imgburn or Nero Burning Rom, they complete without error, when I try to play the disc on computer or blu-ray player it doesnt recognize that anything is on disc.
I have tried the remedies for the error 5.0.0 also unsuccessfully.

I choose burn to blu-ray folder and that completes without error.
Can you play that folder back successfully using Blu-Ray capable software e.g. VLC Player, WinDVD or Power DVD?
