I just installed Video Studio Pro x5. When I load a .avi video it doesn't play. When I click play after I imported the file, the screen is black. If I play the avi in windows it works. Any advice on how to get it visible so I can edit it it in x5?

Re: avi video
.avi covers a multiple of different formats and without knowing which you have it is difficult to give you advice - with the video in the timeline of VideoStudio please RIGHT click over it and from the pop-up choose 'properties' - then copy that properties box and post it on here.

Re: avi video
I'm afraid that doesn't tell us about the file, can you use something like avicodec or gspot to analyse the file please.

Re: avi video
Hi
What it does show is that the video frame is very small, probably from a phone. At 160 wide will display about 1.5 inches. It is small
The frame rate of 15fps is low
The video compression is not recognised and the Audio, well there is none.
You may be best using a video converter to create a more editable file
It is only 237 kb, if you wish e-mail it and I will have a look, I do not think I will be able to do much with it.
You will find my e-mail from the Quick Guides.
Finally what do you intend doing with the video, I assume for the internet?
