Hi all,
Hoping that you might be willing/ able to advise whether the solution to my issue as update GPU
Issue is that when editing any HD video (MTS format) in VSX4 Pro, video in the preview window drags (jittery) very badly to the point that I have to stop playing the video - even with smart proxy enabled. The audio frequently gets out of sync with the video as well. This issue does not seem to manifest when I am previewing a rendered video in the application. Nor does the issue manifest when I watch the original video in VLC and WMV.
Video specs: H.264 24 Bit 1920x1080 25 frames/sec VBR 16800
Audio specs: Dolby Digital 48000Hz 5.1 384kbps
Thanks for considering

Hi
I cannot really advise on your PC specification other than that it seems to be good enough. Whether there are any issues regarding the hardware I wouldn’t know. Hopefully others will comment.
I have recently been testing sample video from a Panasonic 900, with the intent to upgrade to HD.
The clips seem to have the same properties that you show with the exception of DD 5.1 surround sound.
I have no problems in playing these in either Clip mode or Project Playback mode. In fact I have turned off Smart Proxy and deleted all proxy files.
Playback is smooth and in real time.
From your comments it appears to be project playback that is the problem.
Some things to try.
Settings---Enable 5.1 Surround
Disable Smart Proxy and delete all proxy files.
Settings ---Performance—Use Hardware Decoder acceleration.
Now this option is not available for my system, as such I don’t really know what effect it would have?.
Video Studio updates, have you applied all updates.
My version is 14.1.0.126—I have not updated SP2 as yet having re-installed the program a few days ago.
Can you provide a sample for upload/download maybe using 4 Shared, I am willing to play on my pc
