Removing stamps from photos using PI XL

I've downloaded some photos from the web and I'm trying to figure out how to remove the scanner's stamp or at least make it transparent so that it won't be seen if I decide to print them out. Any help would be appreciated...Thanx!

Okay, making sure I have this right, this stamp is a visual element on the image right?

Assuming that I'm right, then you want to use the clone brush tool to grab nearby pixels and paint over the marking.

Apart from being downright illegal, it is also pretty much impossible to do without trace. That's exactly the reason why these things are there. To stop anybody from misusing your property.
