lousy quality of playback in Edit/Finish mode ??

I wonder if it's just me, but whenever I play anything in that big preview window in DVDWS, the playback is somewhat choppy and definitely not smooth at all like it is in my NLE... Also appears out of sync with the audio; yet when I burn it to disk, it's perfect...Is there any reason why the playback is so lousy in this program? It's also just very slow in general when doing certain things like changing modes or rewriting the screen in some cases.....I'm using an Athlon 1800 with 512 ram and it works fine for my NLE (encoding is of course slow) but program functions in other progams work fine, something about DVDWS is really slow though - anyone else have these problems?
