When PSP opens i can see the workspace for manage. Other tabs there is adjust and edit.
Is it possible that the PSP opens directly into the edit tab ? To begin with, I will just use edit.

Yes. Go to File -> Preferences -> General Program Preferences -> Default Workspace and make the change.
