Audio problem
I have VideoStudio X5 Pro. Trying to add voice over using a mike. Problem I am having is the volume. On playback I can barely hear my voice. Have raise the volume level in X5 to the max, still have the issue. What am I doing wrong? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Re: Audio problem
Have you checked the volume control on Windows?
On Windows 7 Right click on the speaker symbol on the tool bar (right hand side) Open Volume mixer and check that the volume control for the microphone port you are using is set to the top. With the two computers I have, there are two Mic ports (pink), one on the back panel and one on the front, both have a voume control.
I have a (cheap) "PCline" mic. It is stereo, a bit echoey, but does the job. Do make sure that the mic you are using works OK in Windows by checking. On the same pop-up as the Volume Mixer, there is Recording Devices. Open this and go to your Mic, open this and you will find a Mic voume (set to 100% in my case) and a signal boost (+10dB in my case) Try playing with these.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
