Find my project

Post by Phil »

Hi

Hope I'm in the right forum. It follows my last comments in my topic submitted Nov 6th in Videostudio "AVCHD to Blu Ray"

I have VSP x5 and after opening this, went straight to Create a Disc and once the DVD maker opened, I dragged my VSP project in and made a great Blu Ray and standard DVD

If I feel like making the same Blu Ray (or DVD) a week later, where do I access the project??

I can see two folders, BDMV and CERTIFICATE but when I had a look further, none seemed to reopen the project with saved work.

Similarly, I have AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS for the standard DVD.

No still not in the right forum Phil - never mind I've moved it for you.

Basically if you are using VideoStudio then you post in the VideoStudio forum - always post in the forum labelled the same as the product you are using or asking questions about.

If you just want to create another bluray then just burn the BDMV and certificate folders to a blank bluray disc.

If you want to make another standard DVD just burn the Video_TS folder to a DVD.

The Audio_TS folder is redundant and no longer used - you will find it is empty.

So, when my PC asks what I want to do with a blank disc, I just burn the two folders on without the need to go through VSPx5 or the DVD maker?

Quick response, thanks

That's good news!

Final question, do I need to have the original video clips in the original folder for a successful burn?

No - once you have created folders you don't even need to open VideoStudio - everything required is in the folders.

Hi again,

I got 2 x Blu Rays burned of the same film and gave them to my friend. A little glitch occured and I wonder if you came across this before?

Once rendered, I noticed when the first clip started, a momentary scratchy audio noise could be heard as the first clip commenced. I took away the fade-in transition (was fading in from black) but it still remained. I just carried on and let it go.

I don't know if it's a coincidence but when my friend plays the discs on his Blu ray player, it freezes at this point. With a quick fast-foward press on the remote control, they play as normal. Both discs were checked on my Blu Ray player beforehand and they were fine.

When I checked the disc burning folders BDMV, I traced that rendered piece. I checked it in 3 sources - Windows Media Player, VLC and VSPx5. Only a glitch seemed to appear in WMP. A horizontal row of blackened pixels about 3mm wide momentarily flickers in and goes away within the first second of the clip appearing. I reckon there is a link here but wondering if you've seen this fault before?

The could be two other factors though - WMP not performing nor my friends Blu Ray player.
