Videostudio Pro X4 crashes while rendering

Hello,

I use VideoStudio Pro X4 on a Windows7-professional operating system. (32 bits)
I already installed SP1 + SP2.
Ulead video studio 11 is also installed on the same computer.
Everytime I start rendering a project (to DVD or to video-file in any format) the program crashes when 99% op the project has been rendered.
It seems that the created video-file cannot be completed.
Has anyone an idea what could be the cause?
This problem occurs with various projects of different lengths.

First off, we need to know the properties of the video you are attempting to edit. Please right click on one of the files in the timeline or library window, and copy ALL its properties here. Do this for other files if they are from different sources.

In addition to what Ken said... are you getting any error message and using another video editing program?

Hello Abiel,

I do not get any error message.
The programm just hangs.
On the same computer Ulead video studio 11 and DVDFab8 (=trial version) are installed, but they are not used simultaneously with Videostudio Pro X4.

Hi,

I have also just experienced problems with VideoStudio Pro X4 crashing whilst attempting to render something.

This is the first time it has ever happened to me in over a year of using the program - I have tried uninstalling programmes, cleaning the laptop fan and using Disk Cleanup/Defragmenter to improve performance but the problem remains.

It is especially annoying as I need to edit and put together undoubtedly the biggest project I have undertaken as a video editor, and it really needs to be done before this year is over.

What were the properties of the video in the project, and what were you trying to render to?
