an outward explosion effect on PI X4 ?

Hello there, hoping for a few replies to this question - all thoughts welcome..let me pick your brains..

I want to make a dvd cover of someone 'kindof' jumping out of the cover...eg, a flat cover, with photos on /writing etc..but in the centre a ..explosion like effect and have a person leaping/running out towards you.

Now..easy enough to cut out a person...a mini explosion behind them..but ideally looking at having the dvd torn open so to speak..nothing too fancy..just literally..someone bursting out of the dvd cover so the cover images are torn/flapped over from the centre...how do i do this?

I didnt want to literally distort all the images around the centre/when the person is coming out of - because would be impossible to look right/get the angles of each picture right...any effect on PI X4 which gives a decent..outward explosion effect i can past onto my dvd cover?

AFAIK, the last version of PI is just X3. Anyway, it looks like you are referring to a Photo within a Photo effect.. probably similar to this effect.



If yes, I cannot help you do that on PI X3/X4, but if you'll willing to try PaintShop Pro, you can follow the tutorial that I made sometime ago... that you can also follow even if you're using PSP X5.

Firstly, there is no PI X4, the last and final version from Corel is X3.
