What settings are the best for printing dvd covers photos?

Post by garjobo »

Would anyone know the best route possible for me to ensure top notch quality when it comes to bringing in a few photos into PI X4. Just i want to make a video cover, and want to 'copy/paste'? from my PC folders photos and bring into x4 to make a dvd cover etc..cut/paste/add a few effects.

Just what settings do i need to ensure the quality will be excellent. I mean, i will be downsizing more of my pictures ( taken from a 10megapixal camera )..just not sure how to go about it...and trial and error process often means...a lot of time wasted.

In the past, i noticed, my photos print....ok...some better than others? but i did notice..strangly..that the odd photo i might take from Videostudio ( from a moving image..paused/copy/paste and saved and then brought into photoimpact ( talking a few years ago )..that , that image taken from a camcorder ( an old one too ) actually looks ..better..than a photo..brought in from an SD card? Any thoughts?

Main question was the first one though...What settings would best ensure i get best quality from using say..12 images on one A4 sheet on x4.

thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I would say printing these image would apply to printing anything from your pc.
What resolution?
What kind of printer?
What type of paper?

If you are familiar to printing images and you get good results, then do the same for your dvd covers.
