How do I vary line width?
How do I vary line width?
Hi, I want to draw a bezier curve that looks like a pen stroke, so that one end is thicker than the other, is this possible to do without a pen tablet? (I am probably going to buy a tablet, but I don't often need to do things like this, so would rather do it with the mouse).

Re: How do I vary line width?
I would say this is not possible with PI, with or without a pen and tablet.
PI doesn't lend itself to a pen and tablet very well.
Perhaps you can use a pencil or paintbrush, press down hard as you begin drawing then lightly, tapering off towards the end.
I can do it in PSP and Painter, but not really achieved this with PI.

Re: How do I vary line width?
I'm sure that PI X3 had a pressure sensitive setting on the painting tools, because I used to have a tablet (but it doesn't work with Windows 7 so I'm going to buy a newer model), and I used to be able to adjust line thickness by pressing harder. When I get my new tablet, I'll let you know what I've found!

Re: How do I vary line width?
Thanks trueblue, sorry for the late reply. I'll buy a tablet now, it would also be very useful for drawing round objects when I want to extract them from photographs.
