Create seamless tile - search for pattern

Hi, is there a way to make the 'Create seamless tile' function search for repetitive patterns in an image, as I am creating patterns using 'Effect - Creative - Kaleidescope effect', and therefore I am creating a repeating pattern. I can manually cut out the part I want, but it's very time consuming.

There is a seamless tile feature in PI under Web. You will have to adjust the settings until you achieve the results you require.

Hi Trueblue, I know about the Create Seamless Tile function under the Web menu, but I wanted something that would automatically recognise that there is already a repeating pattern in a picture, and just cut out one tile of it for me.

You can do amazing things with 'Effect', 'Creative', 'Kaleidoscope Effect', you can produce literally endless numbers of beautiful patterns for all sorts of things.

Thanks for your tutorial link, I'll have to give it a try.

That would be a very good tutorial to add to the PIRC databse for PI tutorials, but if you are going to change the url then folk would get a none responsive page. Perhaps let me know when it will be permanent.
