Can't Install VideoStudio X5 on Win8

My problem is fairly simple.

Corel claims that VSX5 runs on Windows 8 at the following page HERE. As such, I was happy to pay buy VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultimate. Unfortunately, I can't even get it to install. I find that to be troubling.

I load the installer. I enter my serial. It says..

Please wait while we configure DirectX...

Soon after...

Installation Wizard not Completed

Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Cick Finish to exit the wizard.

That's as far as it'll go. The installer is for v15.0.0.001. This is what was linked to me in my e-mail, not the latest v15.1 SP1 version.

I'm at a loss. I've been trying for 2 hours now. I don't get it. I didn't have this problem installing PSPX5. That went in easy. Why would Corel claim that it was Win8 compatible when you can't even install it on Win8? Did I just waste my $60?

FIXED!

Took a bit more digging around for me to find out what was what. Some poking around in services.msc and I noticed that my Application Experience was off. Don't know why, but I turned it on and that fixed the install problem. I should've known. I had a similar issue last year while installing Steam. It'd crash at 27%. A disabled Application Experience service was to blame then too.

I'm good to go now. Thanks anyway.
