Typewriter not working with beta 1.1.0.30

Post by dFlyer »

Typewriter is no longer working with ASP beta 1.1.0.30 with Ubuntu 12.10. The Signature will show on the photo but not on the saved copy.
Thanks.

It is a libc issue on Linux.
And it looks like sadman is not really motivated, so I fear you need to switch to zText or external scripts ;-(

I will probably star using an external imagemagick script again, for several reasons...
Apart from typewriter support, I am considering scaling issues.
Bernd correctly pointed out that all the text applied to an image is applied pre-scaling in the queue. If you do it in external script on the final size, the font looks nicer.

cheers

I also ended up switching back to zText a couple of month ago. After going back & forth between both several times, I now keep the presets for both. Although I miss TypeWritter, I must admit that tin.tin does a good job keeping zText updated. The fact that now you can have a second line of text is a big improvement. (Thanks tin.tin !)

So long,
