automatic indexing for new images?

Post by racooper »

I have been all over the help and some of the forums looking for the answer to this question, with no luck.

Is it possible to have ASP automatically add new images to the appropriate catalog when the files are copied from an outside source? I usually let gThumb import pics from my memory cards then have to (re-)import 36k images to get them added unless I search for and add the individual directories. This is really the biggest annoyance I've found, and I would think there's a simple solution to it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, watched folders have been dumped...

But why us gThumb? Why not use an AS download queue?

cheers

I use Rapid Photo Downloader (http://www.damonlynch.net/rapid/) in linux over ASP's Download queue as I do some video which ASP does not download and sort for me. But yes still two steps to import into a ASP catalog .
