Hey all,
I can't seem to get the fire from the global effects to work on text. When I try to apply the effect, I get a block of "fire" over the text. Here are a couple of before and after pics:

I had to use links, because no matter how small I made them, I kept being told they're too wide.
Anyway, how can I get the text to be on fire instead of being covered by a block of it?

I just tried the same effect as you and I get the same results as you show in your pictures.
I am now checking some of the other "global" effects to see if they work.

I tried to use the effect on an object earlier today, and I got the same blocky result. This is quite frustrating.
If anyone finds a solution, please let us know.

I think, there(Your case) is something wrong. But, exactly I don't know what the problem is.
Can you reinstall the program?
Conflicts with other programs or Windows operating system problems
or updated version of the graphics driver, etc. ..
Note that, my windows operating system is WinXP.
