I have reinstalled this program 3 times arlready and the Auto Music feature still does not work? Every time i make a project and want to add some music off the Auto Music feature the whole program crashes instantly? I keep getting over and over again, Unspecified Error? Everything thing else works in the program except the Auto Music, anyone have a solution for this annoying problem?

I have VideoStudio x4 and use the Auto Music feature often, so I know it can work. However, it always give me the impression that it's right at the edge of what will stably run on the computer. It's never crashed, but it can be slow and occasionally inconsistent.

For a start, it would help to know more about your computer, such as its processor and memory. You list your OS as Windows Vista Home Basic, and I wonder if that is the problem. VSx4 should run fine on Vista (although I struggled with VSx3 on Vista), but it's the "Home Basic" that gives me pause. Generally, the basic version of the OS lacks features, and many of those missing features are video and audio related. My guess is that Auto Music doesn't play well with Vista Home Basic.

When you use the Auto Music feature do you get the window asking you to update? If yes, you may want to download and install the updates.. since that can be causing the problem. If not, then you may need to reinstall auto music by uninstalling all SMARTSOUND entry via Windows ADD/REMOVE section. Then reinstall by running the installer which is located from the disc installer under the folder "\Setup\RunTime\CommonDataInstaller"

If you bought the download version of VS X4...
1. Go to :http://www.smartsound.com/support/updat ... duct=ulead
2. Down on the lower left corner select Corel VS
3. Select Full SmartSound and download and install.
