Thanks TinTin,

This is a very good news.
By the way, since sadman is abandoned the typewriter plugin. Would you be able to add one more set of text input so that we can have one text for the signature and one text for the title please?

Thanks a lot,
Vinny

mh :?
looks like i should really write a detailed documentation of that plugin ;-)

you already can enter several texts... one text - with each different settings of course - on each layer. just add a layer and enabling zText gives you another text... that's all.
note: you may add a layer without adding a region on it. if you add a region the text may only be visible in the added region.

Yeah, but this is useless for a preset in the queue ;-(

yes and no....

you can tweak the preset.xmp a bit. through changing the lines

Code: Select all

        blay:layerId="0"
        blay:layerPos="0"
to another number - e.g. "1" - the preset will be applied as new layer. (you might also adapt the layers name - blay:name="layerName")

BUT: this only works if the number you put in is the next layer to be added or a layer that is already available - so using "1" should work in any way but might overwirte existing settings of layer 1. if you put "2" in the xmp, but layer "1" is not available when clicking the preset ASP will hang.

No really practical for a generic watermark queue me thinks ;-)

thank you for that hint - did not know that,
if you know it and do this as the first (layer-maybe as a reservation text1 and text2 without text) editing it is really helpful

why not?
you might adapt your personel workflow slightly through using layer1 always as your watermark layer.... any other adaptation might follow on layer2+

What about my old images?

Relying on a specific layer management sounds like a recipe for trouble to me.

i had expected that you either have images that are already processed - so all settings are already done - or you have images that are not processed, yet - for those the workflow might be adapted from now on :-?

There is a difference between base processing and output processing.
I might want to put images online years after I have processed them for the visual appearance. Then I would add the watermark in the queue just for that instance.

one question to layers - its possible to create a layer with a preset - and several layers with preset layer1 and preset layer2 and so on ...
but how to create a (one) preset with frame and text on layer 0 and text on two additional layers?
Is this possible with ASP?

yes, it is! (i just tested that)

you have to manipulate your corresponding preset xmp-file manually.

in the xmp file is a section starting with and ending with the following tags

Code: Select all

      <rdf:li>
        ...
      </rdf:li>
just copy this section and change the layer settings from 0 to 1 and/or to 2, etc.
the individual bopt: settings for the different sections might then either be edited in a text editor, too, or copied from another previously prepeared preset.

so it should look like...

Code: Select all

<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="XMP Core 4.4.0">
 <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#">

copied your example "it should look like", but it did not work here - maybe this is not a working .xmp ? and / or I did something wrong ( ASP version 1.0.1.10)
