PSP X5 SP1 admin installation

Post by Utgardus »

Greetings together,

I want do deploy PSP silent to several client computers.

I have already prepared the setup.xml file for my belongings as explained in this article: http://www.itninja.com/software/corel/p ... -pro-x5/x5
Unfortunately after doing the admin installation of PSPX5_SP1 to my deployment folder it is not possible to install the product anymore. I installed it with the command PSPX5_SP1.exe /admin to my distribution point. Neither with the silent and passive switches, nor the manual installation is working.
You can see the error in the first attached screenshot.

Also I recognized that in my setup folder there are placed some new folders after installing the sp1 admin installation. You can see the new directory structure in my attached zipfile.

I think there is missing a .cab file and instead there are all the files copied to the directory, but how can I fix this issue?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Kind regards
Utgardus

Hello Utgardus,

There are a number of reason why you are getting this error message and the most common is a damaged installer. You may need to redownload from http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=5000003

Another thing... can you check if the same problem happens when you directly download the update and install them locally and not via network?

Also if the same thing happens after following the steps above, please answer these 2 of question about your PSP X5.
1. Did you purchased the volume license copy of PSP X5? - http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... Deployment
2. Are following the network deployment guide of PSP X5?
