"Auto chapter" does'nt place chapers in the main p

I recently purchased Hauppauge WinTv-PVR-150, and it was bundled with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 SE. The video capure works great , but when I try to break it up into chapters with the "Add/Edit Chapter" button no chapters are created. I press the "Auto" button and the "Auto Add Chapters" dialog window pops up. I enter the minuts at the "Add chapters at fixed inervals:" spot. Hit the "OK" button and a percentage of completion bar pops up. When that finishes the "Add/Edit Chapter" window has the chapters on the right side, with total number of chapters up top. Hit the "OK" button, the "Add/Edit Chapter" window disapears, the hourglass cursor pops up for a couple of seconds, but none of the chapters show up at the bottom of the main window.

these chapters will only be visible in the menu. The clips below the main window "Add/Edit Media" represents the titles in your DVD, which, can contain chapters.

I had gone in the "Menu" window before and still only seen the one chapter,
but I checked "Create chapter menu" and there they are.

there is a listbox there for the current displayed menu. usually the default view there is the main menu. You have to select the submenu in that list box for you to view/edit them.
