line drawing animation

Post by rkstudio »

Does anyone know if it's possible to make line drawing animations with VS X3? I was wondering if they can be made with the painting tools or anything else.

Thanks.

In my experience the drawing tools in VS do not allow you to do animated line drawing - it just draws on top of a video and is not a frame by frame option where you could move lines between frames - at least I have never found a way of doing that within VS.

If I wanted to do that I would be looking at another programme which allows for the drawing of animated GIF's - that sort of programme is designed for animating line drawing - you can then import the gif into VS if you wished.

You can try applying the principle behind stop motion animation but instead of using photos or taking snapshot of the object that you want to animate, you'll use your drawings. Though this process may be tedious and requires a lot of work.
