lost my template

Post by leastof1000hacks »

hi. psp x4. can someone tell me how to get the tool bar back please. i don't know why it disappeared but it did. anyway this is the toolbar that allows you to change the thickness of a line or the thickness of your paintbrush. i think it normally would be just below the printer icon.

Actually that's a palette not a toolbar. Your Tool Options Palette to be precise. I know it doesn't matter, I just love having fun. But also knowing what it is helps you to get it back.

Two Options

1) Go to your View menu and select View->Palettes->Tool Options

Or

2) Press F4

yeah, that gives the lil tool palette, but in actual fact this is more like a tool bar. where the red squigley line is in the 1st pic. you can change thickness, anti -alias; opacity etcetra etcetra. runs all the way across the board pretty much. thanks anyway.

You can expand that palette.

Trust me, I know what you're talking about. That was called the "Tool Options Palette" because it let you set the options for your tools. Options like opacity, stroke thickness, brush size, anti-alias, etc, etc.

You'll notice in that little bar there is a white triangle pointing to the left, if you click on that you'll notice it shows more options. What you're seeing is the bar was shrunk down, but all of the items are still there. Drag that palette to the top to dock it and it will expand out to the full width of your window. Or manually drag out the size.

Trust me, that is what you want. Here's a video that I hope helps to show you visually.

If you have not done much customization with your toolbar, then you can just reset your workspace. To do that, just follow the steps at http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... l-settings
