"Border" around screen captured images
After screen capturing an image, when viewed in the PSPro X workspace, a thin white border shows on the right side and at the bottom. This shows what ever is captured, it wont clone brush or crop out.I have to apply a border to disguise it.Is there an answer to this issue.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
How are you doing the screen capture ? Windows Prnt Screen or the PSP built in screen capture feature.
When you capture an image from your screen you may also include some of the image surrounds. You may need to do a careful crop to include only the image and leave out the surrounds.
If none of this helps, you might also post a sample of your problem.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
just to add a little more on adding attachments - you do need to do just a little more - after clicking on 'add attachments' then click on 'choose File' and browse to the image file - click open and you are returned to the forum - then click 'add the file' wait a few seconds until the screen changes - now this last bit catches people out - finally put the cursor where in your text you want the attachment (usually the end) then click on 'Place inline' - you attachment will appear in the text box as a link which will change to a picture when you go back to the forum topic page.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
Thanks Brian. I looked in the Forum info section to see if there were instructions there, but could not find any. Perhaps there needs to be a sticky post with info on this and other means of adding images , directly and placing links via photobucket or other file sharing sites.

The image I hope you can see was captured via the PSPro X screen capture method and illustrates the white partial border I am getting.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
Well, what you see is not what I am getting because the above image has an equal border all around it,however, when I captured it the part of the image captured did not include a border any where. So in my humble opinion something is not correct
some where cos what I captured is not what you see.(that is , it has a white border.)

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
To clarify, I am referring to the thin white border inside the thin dark line, not the outer white thick border.Below is my workflow
for uploading an image, if it is of any use, it can be copied + pasted to where ever.Thank you for the info.
To upload an image into a forum page
1 Open post or reply
2 Enter text
3 Click "Upload attachment" ( bottom left)
4 Click "File name"
5 Browse to image-click open
6 Click "Add the file"-wait until screen changes"
7 Position cursor in the appropriate place
8 Click "Place inline"
9 Attachment appears in text box as a link
10 This link changes to an image on returning to the forum topic page

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
When I viewed and copied your attachment I could not see that white border.
One thing I noticed with X2 was that when I changed the workspace View --> Use Graphite workspace Theme and toggles that I did see a white surround to the image . When I double clicked the image title bar so that it went to full screen (Can also use Window --> Tabbed Documents) There was no border at all.
This may be a display "feature " to make you think you are looking into a photo frame to see the picture and can safely be ignored.
Look at the image in different image viewers (non PSP) and see if the white border is actually attached to the image.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
You may want to get a screen shot of what you see on your end and not just the photo. Since that screen shot cannot be uploaded in the forum, you can then upload it to any photo sharing web site and just give us the direct link for that screenshot

Image capture 1 is the area captured . Image capture 3 is the result

Hmm..why can't a screen shot be uploaded to the forum? It has to be saved to an image file to post on a sharing site; i.e. jpg or png.

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
Of course a screen shot, once saved e.g. as a jpg or bmp, can be uploaded to this forum as an attachment. See hartpaul's image way above and Kenneth Veal's step by step instructions either above or at http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 83#p257783

Re: "Border" around screen captured images
I am a bit confused here ,( and that is not hard to do) because the image I posted above on Sun Oct 21, 2012 at 11:15 pm with the message
“The image I hope you can see was captured via the PSPro X screen capture method and illustrates the white partial border I am getting.”
Because, as I said, “what I captured is not what you see”
The link to the image that was actually captured and is a true representation of that, was posted on Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:59 pm.
So why is there a difference between the image you can see and the one in the link?
