In X5 (not in X4) when double-clicking on a thumbnail in the Organizer pallet, the BLACK control panel at the bottom appears, but the image is either Not There, or the entire screen is a Scrambled Mess! Sometimes (like in the morning after boot-up) it's ok, but other times (like in the evening) there is dysfunction and corruption. I'm wondering if X5 has a memory leak or problem? as I got a Blue Screen last night!!
Any remedies? Anyone else have these problems?

Re: Corrupt video in X5 Quick Review mode
UPDATE: Quick Review mode (black background after double-clicking on thumbnail in Organizer) is corrupt again this afternoon after working ok this morning. Double-clicking on a thumbnail pallet brings up the full-screen preview, or slideshow, but the same image is displayed even though I can see the filenames changing along the lower-left edge when clicking left or right arrows.
Does this mean reinstall X5?
EDIT: (4:27 pm) the corruption can be remedied by CLOSING X5 and then re-starting it. I think there's a memory leak? What else could it be? Is X5 not stable? This is a problem at least, and a bug a worst.

Have you tried resetting the software to it's default state or updating the program?
If not then you can...

That's strange, as the release date is early AUG 2012. My X5 "about" splash says: ver 15.1.0.10
And in X5 Corel Guide, Check for Updates lists no Service Packs available.
UPDATE: SP1 did not install.. the installer reports already installed.
Assuming SP1 is already installed (this is another example of Core's idea or revision control).. are there any Video Card driver settings that could affect the operation of Full-Screen Preview slideshow? I have a GeForce GTS 250 which is a 3D gaming card. It can be tweaked through Nvidia control panel, or with an applet I have installed to tweak VIDEO settings called nHancer.
I'd like to have a discussion about GeForce video driver settings in general for PSP.

Re: Corrupt video in X5 Quick Review mode
Here is a screen-cap of Preview mode corruption.
It could be video drivers, it could be that X5 is corrupt, or it could be X5 is different than X4.
X4 is very stable and works fine!!
There is a strange "memory" issue.. in that X5 shows the previous preview for a split second before displaying the NEW image. After that, the screen is corrupt and the LEFT - RIGHT arrow keys work (the filename readout changes) but the video is hashed and doesn't change.. it's STUCK in the same mess, even though the filename display is changing.
I may re-install X5.. and probably shouldn't have installed so many free-bees from the Corel Guide section.

Re: Corrupt video in X5 Quick Review mode
Have reinstalled NVIDIA driver Ver 295.73 for the GeForce GTS 250 card which is dated 2/10/2012.. and X4 is having a slight "glitch" in displaying the PREVIEW - SLIDE SHOW when it first pops open. The previous image seems to be saved in a memory register, and that is seen for a split second before the current image is displayed. X5 (which has been uninstalled) became corrupt, not initially, but after 10 or 15 minutes of run time.
Is there a TEMP file setting that would affect the performance of QUICK PREVIEW mode? (launched from Manage tab)
I'd really like to get X5 working!!
