I wanted to upgrade from PSP 8, which doesn't work well at all any more since I installed Win7 to the newest Corel's PSP x5.
After downloading and installing the 30 day demo I went to view some of my saved PNG & PSD files which have transparencies, but PSP x5 will not display the transparencies, instead it turns their backgrounds into a solid white.
I'm still using GIMP 2 which has no problem showing my transparencies, why won't PSP x5 show them and what do I do I need to do to view my transparencies?

Re: Transparencies Not Showing
Try making a new image on a raster layer in X5, select and delete part of the image so there is transparency. Save it as a png file and then reload it and see if X5 shows the transparency there.
Just made an image in photoshop CS2 saved it as a png file and as a psd file and loaded into X5 and still shows transparency. Might be something else.

I did as you did and both show up with their transparencies as well
I did a double-check on my other files I said did NOT show up with their transparencies, that was while I was viewing them in the Manage Tab, but found when I opened the Edit Tab there were all my transparencies just as I had previously created them before using this demo. My bad
Hope this will help others that may make the same mistake as I did

Re: Transparencies Not Showing
I only work in edit mode so don't see these problems that others may experience.
I manage my images my way and how I want, I don't have time to rate images and as well that rating may vary after 6 months or a year as I see other potentials in an image.
I see adjust mode is just a dumbed down version of the Edit mode and does not offer anything that cannot be done (often better) in Edit mode .
