Registration Website

Post by xfsgpr »

I am not able to register the product and this is not only driving me crazy but also crashing the product. I can't use it because of this bug. This link is always unreachable:

http://mc.corel.com/servlet/TCM2/beginReg.

Other stuff in that link has been deleted because of sensitive info.

How can I disable product registration? I don't want to register the product because I don't want to be bombarded with spam messages.

None of the three ways I tried is allowing me to register the product so that this message goes away and newer starts when it is launched.

Thank you.

You have already posted this same problem twice in the PaintShop Pro forum, and now here, in identical terms. But this is the AfterShot forum... So are you having the same problem with two products, or only one?

Sorry. It was supposed to be in only one forum in PSPX5. The solution lies with the bug I have found so I tried to post in Bugs forum as well but it looks like it has gone to the aftershot forum.

Sorry for this mixup.

If you have already registered with Corel (not just these forums) go to the Corel website at http://www.corel.com and log in to your account - this account is different from your forum user account - there you will be offered the option to register a new product.

If you do not have previous Corel products and have not registered anything before then you will need to create a separate account at http://www.corel.com - then choose to register from there.

Brian,

How is this going to stop bugging me with pop ups to register on my machine? I have registered X4 and the X5 I am using is a trial version so registering doesn't make sense at this stage until I receive a boxed version from Amazon and this is not going to be until early November when my trial period expires.

It looks like Registering has become mandatory for Corel to keep tabs on users so that they are offered new products even if they don't need.

I can register using a bogus e-mail but the link from my machine doesn't work and it is imperative for registration details to go from my machine so that the pop up stops completely.

I am trying to stop messages like this:

It seems to pop up every now & then and that is why I want to register with a false e-mail hoping that it will stop.

Where did you say you were trying to register a trial version ????

you said you could not register so I told you a way to - now you say you it would not help - there is no way to register a trial any rate - it has no serial number.

Why is it asking me to register? It is a trial version and I downloaded it from Corel's website. I did not pay anything (I should know this better!!!!) and they (Corel) can't have details of my credit card because I only buy from Amazon. So you are saying something has gone amiss, right? Now what is the solution? Any ideas. If not let us call the whole thing off because the moderator may not like us discussing this here.

Thank you for trying.

OK - I've moved this into the Paint Shop pro forum where it belongs.

You are confusing Registration and Purchase - you do not have to pay to register - you can register with Corel WITHOUT using your credit card - then when you are ready you can purchase from Amazon.

The registration screen for PSP X5 trial will only asks for your email address and that should be it. Just make sure that you are connected to the internet when you do that.

I think someone needs to sit down at Corel and rewrite their procedures. I had trouble trying to confirm a registration and I've done it for every version! A simple web page with clear instructions for the various scenarios along with page shots.

Corel! Anyone listening?
