copy a vector image

PSPro X
I screen captured a map then added text (and arrows via the paint brush).It is now a vector image.What do I need to do to copy 100% of what is in the image to a word 2003 doc.

If you don't want to flatten it and copy/paste, you can go to Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy Merged and then paste it into Word.

thanks that worked!--edit-copy merged-paste to Word.
My next problem is saving an image that has had text added to it when it then becomes a vector.When going to file, "save as"
is greyed out, what can I do to save this as a jpeg image

Hmm? That's odd. I'm not sure why it's greyed out for you; mine's not.

I am still working with version X (not got X5 up and running yet) would that make a difference?

It's been a long time since I've used X so I can't say with 100% certainty but I don't think it should make a difference. The oldest version I have installed right now is X2 and I had no trouble with "save as"; it was not greyed out for me.

Save your image as a .psp file. Then Merge it and Save as... and you have your jpg image that you can insert in a word document as well as maintaining a file (the .psp) that you can load at any time and continue to work with.
