Let get this straight!
I do not want to use the the Pen Tool to make selections of Vectors!
I want to know if it possible to use the Pen Tool to select say the eyes or the arm or the chair or the apple, etc!
Then convert that vector pen tool selection into a Raster selection???????
Photoshop and Gimp do this!
I would love this feature in PaintShop Pro X5, but since that out maybe the next version X6!!!!
Well does anyone know how or if this can be done????
Thank You!

Re: Using Pen Tool For Raster Selecting
Yes it can be done. This has been a feature in PSP for quite some time actually. In fact I love using vectors to help me in my photo editing.
Once you've made your vector object, make sure it's selected and go up to the selections menu. In there you'll see an option for "Selection from Vector Object."
Then just select the layer and change the active tool. Sometimes the marquee won't show up with some tools like the pen tool.
Oh, one other important thing. PSP uses the visible area of the vector to make the selection. So make sure the vector has a fill or it'll just select the visible stroke. A very handy feature but also annoying when I forget to turn the fill on. Of course the fill is usually on by default so if you never touch that then it's nothing to worry about.

Thanks! LeviFiction!
I still love PSP X5 and Corel, but I like the way Photoshop does it better!
