Bez values set to 0 on new layers
Whenever I create a new adjustment layer, all Bez values are set to 0. I have to reset all sliders before I can start my adjustments. I was wondering why it is working that way and if there are any plans to change this behavior?

Re: Bez values set to 0 on new layers
I just realized the existence of the reset button. Clicking it kinda fixes my problem. BUT it resets my layer name. Which I don't like at all. It makes me suspicious other things could be reset. So I will use the reset button, but I will try to always use it immediately after creating my layer.

Re: Bez values set to 0 on new layers
My understanding is that this is a "feature" of the plugin SDK. AFAIK it's not something that I have done. There was talk some time ago about getting this fixed, but I've not seen anything.
If one of the other plugin devs thinks it can be fixed and can give me a few clues how, I'd be happy to fix it. But I don't think there is a way to fix it.

Re: Bez values set to 0 on new layers
I have investigated more after encountering the same behavior with Nuance.
Just about every setting is getting zeroed when adding an adjustment layer. I was wondering if the rationale behind this behavior has something to do with the way layers are applied. Each layer is added on top of each other. So if you don't want to add more of an effect when you add a layer - say sharpening - you have to zero sharpening on your new layer.
However, pushing the reset button within plugins resets *ALL* values to their default. So if I push the reset button in bez, I will end up re-adding sharpening to my layer and possibly many other things!
Also, adding adjustment layers in Bibble5 didn't have the same behavior. It did reset some settings, like built in sharpening. But it did not force plugins to 0. (I only did a quick test. I did not check all settings).
I have to conclude this is an ugly bug in ASP. I am using layers enough to think about reverting to the previous version. I am using 1.0.1.10.

Re: Bez values set to 0 on new layers
You know I hadn't noticed that. But it's even stranger than that. I'm getting inconsistent results on whether sharpening that gets enabled this way has any effect on the image. Often there's no sharpening effect. Can you see any additional sharpening effect?

Re: Bez values set to 0 on new layers
The new layer does not add sharpening more sharpening but controls it. Sharpening will increase only if you add more on the adjustment layer, not if you increase it on the main or unless you have defined a region. The region is not affected by the sharpening effect on the main layer. Weird weird weird.
