Is there a way to copy from Video on a mini DV tape to the PC does V/S ver. 6 allow this or is there some other way of doing this?

Oh forgot Cannon zr200 connected stright to PC using FireWire connection no capture card.

yepppp! If it's DV, you need no capture card. What are your system spec's though?

With a system like that I cannot see a reason why you should not be able to do that. I started years ago with a PIII 800MHz with 124MB RAM and two IDE HDD's of 7,200rpm with VS 5. Worked like a charm. A bit basic but a good start.

Have you actually tried it? As long as the system detects your camcorder when you switch it on, there should not be a problem.

No I have not tried, because I do not kow how to

While V/S reconizes the Camera the O/S does nothing when I plug it in so I assume that means the system does not reconize it *Shrug* I did install the software that came with the Camera.
