from VideoStudio 6.0 to 9.0

Has anyone else tried to go from 6.0 to 9.0? I can't figure out how to do anything I'm used to doing. Does anyone have any helpful tips?

Have you even looked at the Manual or the tutorials that come with the extra content disc or download?

Jaskaeli, version 6 to version 9 has a lot of changes and different looks.
You will need to explore version 9 for all the neat new stuff it has for your editing needs. The manual is a good start. If you have a particular problem, let us know.
