ASP still not supporting my camera
ASP still not supporting my camera
Arghh, I really don't know what to do.
By now I should have switched to something else, but as I am a keen supporter of the original Bibble software (which had a really good response time in respect to new camera models) I just have not been able to abandon the SW.
I've had my Pentax K-30 for two months now and I am still not able to process my photos with ASP!!! In the mean time I've installed trial versions of Lightroom and Capture One to make the most fundamental and urgent PP work, but this is too much.
What is going on????

Re: ASP still not supporting my camera
Thanks afx for the reference, but it just does not do it.
Whatever is going on in the background does not justify the treatment I am getting from Corel as a customer of a once great software. I would very much appreciate an official statement about current and future camera support prior to switching to the competition.
Bibble made my day, and I really would like to stick with it...

I've had my NX200 since April, and still no support. We got duped.

Re: ASP still not supporting my camera
How long did it took Bibble 5 to introduce support for the 50D? One year, at the least… So Corel is not really doing any worsejmarkku wrote:Thanks afx for the reference, but it just does not do it.

Of course not, but it explains whyjmarkku wrote:Thanks afx for the reference, but it just does not do it.
Corel totally botched the transition.

Lightroom announced support for your camera this week. Although I think that Corel are behind with support it's not that bad. Yet.
Mr AFX, as a moderator I think that a little more positivity is called for. The Bibble team were your friends, we get it, but give the Corel people at least some chance to redeem themselves.
Would one of the beta testers like to confirm if the K-30 is supported in the latest beta?

Have you ever considered that you only see the tip of the iceberg?bananahead wrote:Mr AFX, as a moderator I think that a little more positivity is called for. The Bibble team were your friends, we get it, but give the Corel people at least some chance to redeem themselves.
And compared to what I think about this mess, and what I know and can not talk about, I am showing quite some restraint.
This is about Corels mismanagement hat affects the users, not what happened to the original crew.
cheers

I have to check the NDA, but i think we're note allowed to talk about new features/camera support.bananahead wrote:Would one of the beta testers like to confirm if the K-30 is supported in the latest beta?
i'm with afx on this. especially as successful RAW converters absolutely need timely support for new cameras. (Pre-Corel bibble was always quite fast, at least for Canonikon)afx wrote:Have you ever considered that you only see the tip of the iceberg?bananahead wrote:Mr AFX, as a moderator I think that a little more positivity is called for. And even when they got an update out of the door, the resulting "support" was frequently grim in terms of IQ results.ogrizzo wrote:You mean Bibble 4 was always quite fast.spoilerhead wrote: i'm with afx on this. especially as successful RAW converters absolutely need timely support for new cameras. For many of us there's nothing about the Bibble days to look back at with misty-eyed nostalgia and affection - the user/customer experience was invariably, irredeemably crap.
Great to see that Corel is continuing so diligently with the Bibble Way of treating customers.
