Corel Guide video
That Corel Guide video is VERY irritating.
If the user isn't quick enough with the hit-the-Mute-button finger or close the Guide, it becomes more irritating every time it appears.
One way to stop seeing it is to re-set X5 (Shift key trick).
The Corel Guide still pops up every 3rd instance, but it asks you to sign in to use the Guide.
If you don't sign in, you don't get to see/hear that video.
I sure hope the Development Team will get around to fixing this, some people might want to use the Guide..

Re: Corel Guide video
Have you not had the (miniscule) checkbox to kill the Guide when X5 launches?

Re: Corel Guide video
Try launching (and closing) X5 3 times in succession.
The checkbox should appear on the left hand side.
Otherwise, I dunno!

Nope, no checkbox on the left hand side, only the close x on the right of the Corel Guide.Tadjio wrote:Try launching (and closing) X5 3 times in succession.

Re: Corel Guide video
Well, it should appear eventually. It'll be just above the black portion on the bottom. Honestly it was small enough it looked like they were trying to hide it.
Anyway, according to Jen on CorelYourWay you have to open PSP a minimum of 9 times before the Corel Guide downloads its new version. It took longer than that for me but a minimum of 9 times.

Re: Corel Guide video
I suspect that if you're running the trial version, you never get the option to disable the Guide. I've opened X5 enough times now that I should have gotten the close button by now if I was going to get one. I'm down to my last two days of the trial.

Re: Corel Guide video
Try checking it on the HOME tab of the Corel Guide and you should see it on the lower left corner.
Have you installed the PSP X5 Sp1? If not you can get it here -- http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=5000003

I think you have missed the beginning of this thread:-)Abiel Corel NA wrote:Try checking it on the HOME tab of the Corel Guide and you should see it on the lower left corner.

I deliberately didn't open the Corel Guide so I could avoid 'that' video appearing.
I reset X5_SP1 for a different reason and found that if I didn't open the Guide I would be spared the noisy video.
Which is likely the reason why I don't see a button
I shall keep it like that until the Development Team get their act together and add a checkbox to uncheck the appearance of the Guide
Thanks Abiel.

Re: Corel Guide video
I never even noticed how loud the video was until just now because I almost never have my computer speakers turned on. I see what you mean, Joëlle. It's bad enough that you have to close the pop-up every third time you open X5.

Hehe, not having the speakers turned on can be an advantage..LindaSue wrote:I never even noticed how loud the video was until just now because I almost never have my computer speakers turned on.
